europe trip 2017
In August of 2017, Stephen and Elise headed off to northern Europe to celebrate 35 years of wedding bliss. We visited Stockholm and Gothenburg (Sweden), Copenhagen (Denmark), Amsterdam (Holland), Bruges (Belgium), Calais (France), and Dover (England). The trip trip spanned a total of 16 days, and we travelled by plane, train, and ferry. Please have a look at the photo sliders starting below to see some of what we saw on this great trip.

“Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, encompasses 14 islands and more than 50 bridges on an extensive Baltic Sea archipelago. The cobblestone streets and ochre-colored buildings of Gamla Stan (the old town) are home to the 13th-century Storkyrkan Cathedral, the Kungliga Slottet Royal Palace and the Nobel Museum, which focuses on the Nobel Prize. Ferries and sightseeing boats shuttle passengers between the islands.”
